If you are in the habit of forgetting which book you recently bought or that you already have a 27” TV sitting in front of your comfortable couch and that you need not buy one again, then this product has your name written all over it. The Groqit is a pen-shaped gadget that reads and stores barcodes of products that you are buying. With built-in storage space of 12.8MB, you can store over a million barcodes of items that you have bought in the past days, weeks and months so that you are not pushed into idiotically buying that screwdriver you just bought last month.
The Groqit does not display the name of the product barcodes entered into it, but it allows you to connect to the Groqit website and translate your stored barcodes into actual product names. It comes with 30 days or 300 free translations (whichever comes first) after which an extra $5 has to be paid every month for the translation device. Also, the website allows you to share your shopping list with friends or family which is cool if you are into sharing products and not at all a great idea if you have friends who borrow items that are never returned.
