We had hoped that Nokia amaze us with a “We discovered! This is our new mobile”, but to ask about the strange and unfamiliar phone interface that we saw in one of his presentations, responded with a different explanation: “The story that was removed from a private presentation in which he discussed improvements in the interface – NOT a new product. The format presented was vague and did not intend to display a new device / product.”

Now that we have already heard about Nokia’s N97 model, we have something more to reveal about the company’s latest launches. They even announced their first Internet Radio and is designed for modern homes and offices. The Internet Radio comes with Wi-Fi, Ethernet, USB, aux line-in, and also, both analog and digital outputs. Though it is an Internet radio, it still has the FM receiver.
The radio looks good too and comes in many different colors. It would be interesting to listen to radio on the net when you don’t even have to sit by the boring PC. However, there is nothing known about pricing or availability.

Nokia has announced the high-end N97, which will be out in Europe in the first half of next year. The N97 features a QWERTY keypad and also a touch screen. It is aimed at those who browse the net a lot and is intended to make connecting to social networking sites a breeze. It also supports Flash-videos and the A-GPS sensors and electronic compass let the users reveal their location and upload b=videos as well.
It also supports Nokia’s much talked about Ovi Internet services and comes with Nokia Music Store, Nokia Maps and N-Gage Gaming Platform. It has an astounding 32GB onboard memory and this can be upgraded to a 16GB microSD card. It is a quad-band handset and has integrated Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. N97 also features a media player, Symbian OS, a 5MP camera, Carl-Zeiss optics, and a sleek look.

It seems that there is nothing more that a person can ask from his cell phone. It already has a host of features making it man’s new best friend. In the battle to be the best, Nokia has come up with a winner idea.
Nokia is set to launch an application titled Nokia Home Control Centre. This is Nokia’s solution to controlling electrical devices using different technological languages under a unified user interface. Although this has posed a problem for over three decades, Nokia insists they have hit upon the solution by using the application that would act as a dictionary translating the devices’ lingo for the user. Using the internet and a mobile phone upgraded with the application, the user would then be able to control electrical devices within the house including the security system.

I choose to introduce myself as a Sony Ericsson’s fan than Nokia. Weird but true! Not that Nokia models doesn’t attract me but the musical models from Ericsson entice me more. The mention of Nokia 8800 is around for a while but its entry in new avatar is all set to break few heads. The 3G limited edition Nokia 8800 Carbon Arte is designed using carbon fibre, titanium and stainless steel. The model features 4GB of internal memory, an OLED display and a protective shield that leaves no gaps for fingerprints. The luxurious appeal of the 3.2 megapixel camera phone says a lot about the personality of the phone.
Priced at 1100 euros, the phone is an ideal discovery for those in a mood to change their current model with an aim to flaunt their fortunes.
