Windows 7 beta is a success (who I was gonna say, eh Microsoft) and are already planning different versions to be sold. Like it or not is the strategy of Microsoft, which has not changed in many many many many years, which is difficult to realize that this is not the right one.

HP plans to launch more models of its HP Mini, which began with the HP Mini 9 inches as a sign that HP could also compete in the market for a small ultra-secured future with the launch of the HP Mini Vivienne Tam Edition and HP Mini 1000. Digitimes reports that HP could add more models to this family, including the HP Mini 2150, updating the HP Mini 2140 with a 3G modem included for this year.

It also has within it an Intel Core 2 Duo processor and graphics card NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GS with HD PureVideo HD technology and also come with wireless mouse and keyboard, WiFi and Bluetooth.

Now that we have been waiting for HP’s SmartPhone for quite sometime, the HP’s revelation of the iPaq Voice Messenger and the Data Messenger have come as a pleasant surprise. Both the smartphones will come sim-free or bundled with Vodafone contract. The HP Ipaq Data Manager comes with Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional and has a slide-out keyboard, 2.8″ screen, 3.1 megapixel camera and the usual WiFi and Bluetooths.

The HP Ipaq Voice Messenger comes with 20-keys and Windows Mobile 6.1 Standard. The phone also has a smaller screen and GPS. The phones according to me are not feature rich and the 3.1-megapixel camera is surely a turn off when Samsung has already launched a phone with 8 megapixel camera.

Hewlett Packard is one company I would swear by, if you ask me about great laptops and notebooks. However, they always have seemed to lag behind other companies when it comes to touchscreen, phones and other gadgets. The company apparently realized its follies and has decided to venture into new areas.

A Wall Street Journal report says that they perhaps might launch a touchscreen notebook, which would feature their second generation TouchSmart interface. They are also planning on developing a 10″ laptop, which has been tried by almost all the laptop companies. What is most surprising is the touscreen phone that HP is apparently working on.
