If you thought humans were not meant to fly, think again, for a Swiss pilot has just flown across the English Channel. What’s new, you may ask. Well, he did not pilot an aircraft over the channel but piloted his own body, in short, he just flew!
All he did was, he fired up his attached jets and flew after leaping from a plane at the height 8,800 feet and then flew across the channel. He reached the other side in less than fifteen minutes. Probably, humans can now dream about flying anywhere they want, if they just attach a few jet engines to their backs.

The Batman movies must have given you countless dreams in which you jumped from the terrace of a many-storeyed building and flown over skyscrapers watching miniature cars as ant-sized people looked up to see a humongous bat shaped figure gliding over their city. And then you probably woke up on the floor next to your bed with the bed sheets entangled inelegantly around your legs. To make the dreams of many Bat-struck fans around the world come true, a group of space engineering students have made a real-life Batsuit.
The students of Technion-Israel Institute of Technology may have created a replica of Batman’s famous attire and even got it flying but they still face the problem of decreasing the weight of the suit enough so that wearers can have a painless and pleasurable flying experience. In a statement to the Jerusalem Post, the developer of the Batsuit, Yair Segev, explained that they finally settled upon a light, winged suit that could be accommodated by physically fit individuals looking to thrill themselves. Being Batman, though, is more painful than fans thought it would be.
