So what if we can’t seem to be able to contact extra terrestrials or aliens? They very well could do so, thanks to a specially prepared slab of rock, which was launched into space by the University of Aberdeen with the help of a Russian spacecraft. This was part of an exercise conducted by the European Space Agency Mission.
The Orkney rock holds evidence to the fact of life on earth thanks to the biological deposits on it. Even though it experiences extreme temperatures while going and coming back to the earth’s atmosphere, the rock can hide chemical information which hold clues to life and biology. Called the Orkney rock, it was part of the unmanned Foton M3 mission.

Californian scientists are on a mission to count the Giant Kangaroo Rats, which are still living in the Californian desert by the means of using images from an Israeli defense satellite. They are on a quest to track down some of exciting and enigmatic Kangaroo Rat’s habitat lost to farming in the San Joaquin Valley where the place is no more a desert but a broken patchworks of farms. The extinction of these rats will cause imbalance in the ecosystem. Repercussions of species loss on ecosystem processes depend on the effects of the lost species.
