Every game needs something special to get people hooked onto it and the usual gory killings, aliens and crossbow yielding orcs may not be enough to grab a gamer’s attention. That is why many games come out with its own special paraphernalia to help promote it.
The World of Warcraft fans would be ecstatic to get their hands on the new WoW mouse designed by Blizzard and SteelSeries especially for the WoW game. Non-geeks can be forgiven for mistaking this sleekly stylish mouse with fifteen customisable buttons for a steel armadillo with black wings. The World of Warcraft mouse has disco lights flashing from between the armadillo –like back in 16 million colours. This gaming mouse with 800-3000 CPI is not intended for the weak at heart gamers who are just looking for some fun; this is for the hardcore diehard fans of World of Warcraft, made obvious by the exuberant price tag of $90.

Steampunk is once again doing the rounds of blogosphere, this time for it’s new baby called the mouse. The only difference here is that, the mouse is not touching the degrees of fame that were marked by steampunk’s watch.
The mouse is loosing out on the functionality. Great to look but not so great when it comes to putting it to use, the steampunk mouse is loaded with aesthetic qualities but doesn’t score when it comes to using it thanks to the uncomfortable shape and size. It’s very tough to keep your hands on it for very long.
To top it all, looking like coming in from the Victorian history, the bulky creation weighs 10 pounds and is embellished with so many of jewels that at one stage you start hating them since they do everything to work on the mouse cumbersome. Not just that uncomfortable, but painful too, when so many tiny nail like inscriptions dig into your palm. So I give the steampunk mouse a 3 out of 10.

Now we are going to talk about a mouse, but strictly for those who are indeed dead bored of the scrawling thing under their palm and are ready to experiment to the hilt. Check out the unique Jupiter mouse. Yes, it goes looks like a tiny miny wooden avatar of a ping-pong ball but it is actually a mouse.
Now coming to the functionality of this innovative version of the good old mouse, You bet it’s damn good. You just need to tilt it and the direction and velocity of the tilt will determine the movement of the cursor in this spherical wonder.
Even the Jupiter mouse rests under your palm but is better than the old concept since it brings a sense of novelty in that otherwise dud and dead job of scrawling and clicking. Designed by the minds working at Actbrise Electronics, the Jupiter mouse is handmade from Chinese flowering ash in Japan’s rural Gunma prefecture and is called so because of the natural wood grain swirls that it uses and of course the click button that resembles the largest planet’s famous spot.
A little bit of innovation and experimentation adds into the charm and breaks the monotony of a job…and the Jupiter mouse does exactly the same…hope you agree.
