Innovations when it comes to safety seem to cross boundaries every day. With every leap in technology, new products and concepts to inspire more advancement in technology become almost abundant.
The Notify NavSystem would be a surprising and refreshing piece of news for people who thought that safety while riding a bike only meant a good helmet. The Notify NavSystem, designed by industrial designer J. David Weiss, is a stylish package that heightens safety amongst bikers by sending navigational directions to the rider. The Notify NavSystem includes two main components- a snazzy looking glasses and a watch. The glasses, which have a pair of earphones attached to it, receive signals which are then conveyed to the biker via the earphones. The watch component connects to the glasses through Bluetooth to send directions regarding terrain; these two components are kept up to date in real-time with A-GPS technology.

Projectors that needed to be pushed along are a thing of the past. Now we have projectors that can easily fit inside one’s pockets. However, smaller projectors end up giving out a blurred or a hazy image when the projected image is large. Nevertheless, people opt for smaller projectors thanks to their small size and compact nature.
Pocket Cinema is a unique projector, which can project 50″ picture and comes with a number of features such as focus wheel, a USB port, playback controls, awesome speakers, AV/Headphone input, and even an SD Card input. The projector light is strong enough to keep the image visible even in bright surroundings. All in all, the product looks interesting and worthy enough to buy. It costs $500.

LG has always been a favorite among many display users and why not too, for their displays are always equipped with the latest technology and features. This time LG has launched its new 15″ double-sided reflective display, which looks cool and chic.
It comes with an aperture ratio of 46% and a reflection ratio of 20%, which according to me isn’t too bad. With a color gamut of 12% and a contrast ratio of 14:1, it would be great for advertisers who would want to maximize the viewing space and the guys behind the counter can assist the customer from the same screen without craning their necks.

Hewlett Packard is one company I would swear by, if you ask me about great laptops and notebooks. However, they always have seemed to lag behind other companies when it comes to touchscreen, phones and other gadgets. The company apparently realized its follies and has decided to venture into new areas.
A Wall Street Journal report says that they perhaps might launch a touchscreen notebook, which would feature their second generation TouchSmart interface. They are also planning on developing a 10″ laptop, which has been tried by almost all the laptop companies. What is most surprising is the touscreen phone that HP is apparently working on.

Essen has unveiled the new RFID device “Xtenna” that makes up for all the shortcomings as it is designed to optimize operations, improve and increase functionality more than the present applications. Essen’s Xtenna presents RFID bands in countries like EU, Asia and the U.S.A with models that are operating in 865-870MHz, 902-928MHz, and 840-844MHz category. Along with dynamic multi-protocol capability and others, it is equipped with superior tag reading performance (up to 50 feet) supporting dense reader mode and overcomes multiple sources of signal interference.
It is in fact amazing to know Xtenna has the ability to be used in remote locations covering long distances maintaining a good signal. Usage of Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) for transmission and converting sensitive analog RF signals into digital at source, Xtenna saves us from experiencing loss or decrease during data transmission. The advantage of Xtenna is its requirement of an inexpensive CAT-6 cable capable of carrying 48V DC power with data. But the RF cable has a sensitive analog signal; Xtenna stands stable with digital transmission. RF cable covers short distance about 20 ft before signal deterioration.
