The scientists at Tel Aviv University and MIT have joined hands to build homes using trees. Unlike the traditional topiary airophonics, the idea is to the use a technique where in plants are grown without soil and then use these live plants to build homes and structures. Heralding interactivity: Talking Towers
Posted in Architecture, Concept, High tech, Japanese gadgets, Projectors on 18 August 2008

talking towers

Interactivity is the buzz word today and buildings were the only static thing untouched by this phenomenon until the concept of Talking Towers came into being.

Designed by Bieling Heydekamp Klotsche Zelmer, this is an Interactive Video-Installation, which gives participants the power to modulate and move the particles with the help of a light stick. Following this, the moving particles are then projected on the newly built Kranhaus SĂŒd in Cologne.

The installation is open to public viewing post August 16 during the “New Talents” Design Biennale.
