SanDisk unveiled its third generation of SSD disks that use NAND cell and have a really great speed now leading the market for this type of discs. Were designed to replace hard drives in notebooks and the first models of the G3 are the SanDisk SSD G3-C25 and C18-G3 SSD 2.5 and 1.8 inches respectively. Both come with SATA-II interface, different versions come in 60GB, 120GB and 240GB and cost $ 149, U.S. $ 249, U.S. $ 499 respectively.

G3 memories are more than five times faster than 7200RPM disks and more than double the reports that came out in 2008: read 200MB/sy write to 140MB / s. Will be available in mid 2009.
