It is said that people do not want to buy the same movie twice, that’s why many of the films released in Blu-ray sales have little, if you already have it on DVD Is that you buy it on BD? The film industry is in luck, because JVC has introduced today in Japan the first hybrid Blu-ray disc and DVD. The idea is that it can include the same movie twice, once for each different format, so people will not have to think if you get better pay for a DVD or a Blu-ray that will never know if you will use.

If you follow the news about Blu-ray, you would know that these discs can store information on up to two layers (for now), each of 25GB. In this type of hybrid the second layer is used to store information on the DVD. In essence it is a Blu-ray disc (25GB) next to a dual-layer DVD (8.5GB) together, but do not rule out creating a dual-layer disc BD next to a dual-layer DVD disc.
