Iomega Launches Two New eGo Portable Hard Drives

The latest news from the hard drive zone is that Iomega has unveiled two new eGo Portable Hard Drives. One is the Encrypt, which is ultra, secure and comes with hardware-based encryption, which makes sure your data is double protected. The other one is the ultra rugged and strong BlackBelt, which comes with the impressive Drop Guard Xtreme technology.
The eGo Hard Disks come with advanced 128-bit Advanced Encryption Standard (AES), which makes sure that none of the data is accessed in an unauthorized manner. This would mean, you would need to enter passwords every time you connect the hard disk to a PC. These hard disks are protected against falls from up to 7 feet.
These drives are USB powered and can support Windows 200, XP and Vista. Only Blackbelt supports Mac too. Blackbelt costs $120 and the Encrypt costs $150.
