How many times have you cursed the world after the green light turned red just as you approached the signal? I’m sure, almost everyday. Audi has understood this unique traffic quirk and has developed a device called the Travolution that can make sure you are always at the signal only when the light is green and there is ample time to move across.

The in-car gadget lets the driver know how fast he or she must drive in order to reach the signal at the right time. The special transmitters connect to smart traffic lights 300 yards away and can be fitted to almost any vehicle. This device can actually reduce traffic congestion and snarls at signals, if all the vehicles had the sensors.

Looks like Travolution will start a revolution among car manufacturers and the day may not be far away when we can see cars fitted with gadgets such as these which can let the driver know about traffic ahead of him or her and thus save time, fuel, energy and of course, reduce traffic congestion.
