Orkney Rock May Help Aliens Detect Life On Earth

So what if we can’t seem to be able to contact extra terrestrials or aliens? They very well could do so, thanks to a specially prepared slab of rock, which was launched into space by the University of Aberdeen with the help of a Russian spacecraft. This was part of an exercise conducted by the European Space Agency Mission.

The Orkney rock holds evidence to the fact of life on earth thanks to the biological deposits on it. Even though it experiences extreme temperatures while going and coming back to the earth’s atmosphere, the rock can hide chemical information which hold clues to life and biology. Called the Orkney rock, it was part of the unmanned Foton M3 mission.

The rock even contains primitive information about algae almost 400 million years ago. This leads us to think twice about meteors that land from outer space as they could hold information about life on, say Mars or Jupiter.
