LG has just announced the KC780 8 megapixel cameraphone, which may give stiff competition to Samsung’s new 8 megapixel cameraphone. Though the specs are not available yet for these phones, it is pretty evident that these are going to be high-end models with the latest technology.

It also is being claimed as the thinnest 8-megapixel cameras till date and apparently it will even beat Samsung’s M8800 Pixon. The phone may offer quad-band GSM support and also limited touch screen facilities. We can also expect cool features such as 30fps video recording and of course a very sleek and elegant design.

The race towards building the thinnest, smallest and also the most high tech phone will continue and these models arte just a proof to what might be in store for us many months later.
