I’m not talking crap, but people at OpenPeak who designed the OpenFrame platform are once again ready to become the pioneers to give an iphone-y makeover to your home phone.

Open Peak is all set to manufacture a traditional home phone consisting of ‘OpenFrame’ (the small tablet that looks like a digital picture frame. The final outcome will be soon ready with telecoms to be supplied to consumers at a price about $200 to $300.

And if you are already worrying about the applications, let me tell you that just like with iPhone, the company will also encourage developers to create third-party programs complementing the OpenFrame including the calendar, local weather & news and even internet radio. Hmmm…seems happy days are here again for the home phone!
