Now making phone calls over internet will not arouse any sort of hullabaloo. This doesn’t mean that you have to dig a hole in your pockets for buying a uni-functional device. huh. Though 80 % of the population is embracing skype but the skew of remaining 20 % has made Philips come out with Philip’s VOIP841 phone that elegantly combines a traditional landline phone with Skype functionality.
This seemingly landline is capable of doing Skype VOIP calls. Available in beautiful backlit color display, the gadget can store up to 500 contacts. With the help of its DECT v. 6 technology, Philips increases voice clarity by reducing interference. The rest of the features on the phone are pretty standard: caller ID, hands free speakerphone, volume control, and different ring tones for internet calls versus landline calls. The $200 bundle gives you one handset, the base station, a AC charger, CD-ROM, and ethernet + phone cables.

Sony has come out with its newest L series Notebook, a revolutionary all-in-one PC concept, different than everything built before, in form, power, looks and technology. The big quality 15.4″ display makes it suitable for both entertainment and business usage. The chassis, besides the nice look, provides a reliable and durable cover for the technology inside. Anyway, inside the Sony Vaio L resides a techno monster: The Intel Core 2 Duo T5600 processor, with a clock frequency of 1.83 GHz, 1 Gb DDR2 and 120 GB hard drive.

It is embedded with multimedia functions as it comes with two 3W high quality speakers, driven by a Sound Reality audio chip, a folded keyboard is folded and music player, time and calendar remain visible and working on the upper (not covered) part of the screen, for easy access.

Price should not be an excuse as quality products don’t come cheap.

It is not an ordinary Barbie doll. She loves listening to music and is always available for long chats on phone. The new Barbie Chat Diva doll talks on her cell phone and lip-synchs and bobs her head to the music when you plug her into an MP3 player or CD player. Chat Diva Barbie comes with three preprogrammed song clips and a doll sized microphone. Wall Mart says, “More than a doll, it’s a cool electronic toy of the future.”

Mio has announced specs for another GPS-enabled Pocket PC Phone ‘Mio A501’. It is a bit shorter compared to their Mio A701 model. It’ll only weigh 135 grams with battery and run Windows Mobile 5.0 for Pocket PC Phone Edition AKU 3.5 on a TI processor. Other specs include Bluetooth connectivity, a USB port, a 2MP digicam, and SD/MMC memory card slots. This pocket PC also incorporates the highly rated SiRFStar III GPS chipset. The A501 should hit stores in March. Pricing is still unknown. The device can be expected to hit the markets in March.

The T-Mobile Ameo is pure eye candy and the why to this is well answered by the video at Uber Gizmo. Five inch touch screen, joystick, and detachable magnetic keyboard is what makes it people’s favorite.
The mini laptop-a-like squeezes in a 3-meg camera, HSDPA data access and majestic keyboard and case latches too. Ameo can be expected to be in the market in near March and its price has not been revealed yet.
