Imagine pulling your phone apart and separately making use of the different functions available on it. Browse the internet at the same time that you are chatting away with your friends so you can tell them about a cool site you found while surfing. If you have often imagined having a magic phone that would allow you to do this, your dreams may possibly become true.
The Separate Keitai, a mobile phone from NTT DoCoMo Inc., has a key operation part that can be broken away from the display part so that the two parts can be used separately at the same time. Unfortunately, the Separate Keitai remains a prototype and, according to the company, a schedule for practical application has not been decided yet so the phone may never make it to the market. The two parts of the phone are joined by a magnet so it can be easily broken apart; these parts communicate via Bluetooth. The parts can also be connected horizontally, at which time the phone shows different images from that shown when the phone is connected vertically.

Rumormongers have a reason to be excited now, for Apple apparently is working on something really big. Apple will take the world by surprise with a new iteration of the MacBook called the “Brick”. However, there is more, as the new surprise is not about the laptop but a brand new process which sculpts casings for products out of aircraft-grade aluminum and uses a system.
This also carves the pieces out of a single block of metal using “3D lasers” and water-jet cutting. This allows for seamless components which require no bending or folding, won’t use screws to join together, are ultra-light.

The KIRF fans would be more than happy to hear this. The CNet Technology is going to be launching something new which looks like Apple’s AirPort Express. However, the few extra LEDs look ugly and I wish they did not need to add that. The CWR-635M is a portable router/WAP and it looks awesomely cool.
The portable router/WAP can just be plugged into one’s wall socket and provides a pair of Ethernet jacks and two USB ports locally which makes things more fun. It is not known if this beauty will ever be released in the U.S. or in Europe, but however, a little praying and a dash of optimism will always keep the hopes alive.

It is the fusion of a mobile phone and a musical instrument as well as a model equipped with a solar battery. Developed in collaboration with Yamaha Design Institute, it can be describes as a mobile phone that plays and also as a music instrument that makes and receives calls.
This and other models, all feature different musical instrument designs that may blur the differences between mobile phones and music instruments. The phone with the guitar motif “Strings for fingers” has 10 strings under the sliding display on the handset. The “Band in my pocket” is a bar-shaped terminal equipped on its side with an attachment those functions as a harmonica, trombone, etc. The “Sticks in the air” phone is designed to look like a drumstick.

Here is a weird looking phone which makes me wonder what the developers were thinking when they created it. The Motorola ZN4 will soon be released on Verizon on October 14 and the product lineup has been leaked internally. The flip phone does not really appeal to me but however, looks pretty ok.
It is supposed to be transparent and interactive which is not how one must describe a flip. The Krave will surely make people think twice and even gasp in disbelief, for no one seems to be able to understand what the idea behind this product is.

If you had been wondering how you could make sense of the ocean that makes up the blogosphere, help is near. Google has unveiled the Google Blog Search tool, which competes with Techmeme, Polymeme, Wikio and other “memetrackers” that sort and organize blog posts into categories.
There is going to be a new homepage for the Google Blog search and they have used their Google News website to separate blog postings into clusters based on topics, stories or events. In a cluster one would find the most interesting and recent posts and also a timeline graph, which shows how the story is gaining momentum in the blogosphere. Looks like us bloggers will have an easier time ahead.
